Brothers, Mohammad is right. We do claim that Jesus is God. We do claim that He is the Son of God. We do claim that He is EQUAL in power to His Father. We do claim that salvation and forgiveness of sins is possible only through FAITH in God Jesus. Actually, Jesus BOLDLY claimed the same as we can see it in the Holy Scripture. That’s why unbelievers killed Him.
Mohammad, body of Jesus died on the cross. That’s right. But His immortal ESSENCE or nature- called GOD- lived in this body. That’s why it was impossible to kill God and He resurrected His own body by His divine power.
So, God didn’t get a human Son. But His Son Jesus created the universe. He is our Creator. He existed BEFORE the existence of the world. In the weak human body lived the ALMIGHTY God. That’s why He resurrected people by HIS OWN Divine power which is the POWER of God. God is the essence of Jesus. Jesus is NOT a human being. BODY of Jesus was a body of human but He LIVED in this body the same way like we ALL are living in our bodies. We are not only bodies. We are SOULS living in these bodies and we ALL KNOW it. When our bodies will die, will be judged by God. Who we? Our SOULS.
Jesus was fully aware of the fact that He was going to die for the sin of the world. He was aware of course that He was going to be beaten, scourged and killed. Why? Because He is the OMNISCIENT God!
Jesus dreaded.
But why?
Because he should take upon Himself all the sin of the world.
Think of all wicked, twisted things, crimes, sins and fornication the human kind has done throughout the centuries.
Jesus was going to absorb these sins and bear that. He should effectively absorb the wrath of the God Father for humanity.
As Jesus prayed on the mount of Olives,
“his sweat became as it were great drops of blood falling down upon the ground” (Lk. 22:44).
In the Gethsemane Garden Jesus sweat during His prayer knowing that soon He should be arrested and killed. His sweat was like drops of blood. It’s a rare phenomena. Today we call it “hematidrosis”.This is a rare medical condition that takes place when a person is under extreme stress. He actually perspired blood. It is a perspiration in blood. On this place in the garden olives were pressed. And Jesus was pressed as He contemplated what was ahead. One of His disciples- Peter- was a fisherman and He tried to defend the Lord Jesus. He was trying to kill one of the men who can to arrest Jesus. And Peter cut an ear of this man with sword. Jesus healed this man. ONE MORE time Jesus proved us that His WAY is the WAY of PEACE and LOVE, FORGIVENESS and MERCY.
Jesus 2,000 years ago predicted the destination of Jerusalem and dismantling of the temple that took place in 17 A.D.
Jesus also predicted that His SECOND Coming to the earth.
We are waiting for His return.
His return will be JUDGEMENT for us or REDEMPTION.
There is a LIFE through FAITH in God Jesus and DEATH caused by our sins.

1 وَاقْتَرَبَ عِيدُ الْفَطِيرِ، الْمَعْرُوفُ بِالْفِصْحِ
2 وَمَازَالَ رُؤَسَاءُ الْكَهَنَةِ وَالْكَتَبَةُ يَسْعَوْنَ كَيْ يَقْتُلُوا يَسُوعَ، لأَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا خَائِفِينَ مِنَ الشَّعْبِ.
3 وَدَخَلَ الشَّيْطَانُ فِي يَهُوذَا الْمُلَقَّبِ بِالإِسْخَرْيُوطِيِّ، وَهُوَ فِي عِدَادِ الاِثْنَيْ عَشَرَ.
4 فَمَضَى وَتَكَلَّمَ مَعَ رُؤَسَاءِ الْكَهَنَةِ وَقُوَّادِ حَرَسِ الْهَيْكَلِ كَيْفَ يُسَلِّمُهُ إِلَيْهِمْ.
5 فَفَرِحُوا، وَاتَّفَقُوا أَنْ يُعْطُوهُ بَعْضَ الْمَالِ.
6 فَرَضِىَ، وَأَخَذَ يَتَحَيَّنُ فُرْصَةً لِيُسَلِّمَهُ إِلَيْهِمْ بَعِيداً عَنِ الْجَمْعِ.
7 وَجَاءَ يَوْمُ الْفَطِيرِ الَّذِي كَانَ يَجِبُ أَنْ يُذْبَحَ فِيهِ (حَمَلُ) الْفِصْحِ.
8 فَأَرْسَلَ بُطْرُسَ وَيُوحَنَّا قَائِلاً: «اذْهَبَا وَجَهِّزَا لَنَا الْفِصْحَ، لِنَأْكُلَ!»
9 فَسَأَلاَهُ: «أَيْنَ تُرِيدُ أَنْ نُجَهِّزَ؟»
10 فَقَالَ لَهُمَا: «حَالَمَا تَدْخُلاَنِ الْمَدِينَةَ، يُلاَقِيكُمَا إِنْسَانٌ يَحْمِلُ جَرَّةَ مَاءٍ، فَالْحَقَا بِهِ إِلَى الْبَيْتِ الَّذِي يَدْخُلُهُ.
11 وَقُولاَ لِرَبِّ ذلِكَ الْبَيْتِ: يَقُولُ لَكَ الْمُعَلِّمُ: أَيْنَ غُرْفَةُ الضُّيُوفِ الَّتِي آكُلُ فِيهَا (حَمَلَ) الْفِصْحِ مَعَ تَلاَمِيذِي؟
12 فَيُرِيكُمَا غُرْفَةً فِي الطَّبَقَةِ الْعُلْيَا، كَبِيرَةً وَمَفْرُوشَةً. هُنَاكَ تُجَهِّزَانِ!»
13 فَانْطَلَقَا، وَوَجَدَا كَمَا قَالَ لَهُمَا، وَجَهَّزَا الْفِصْحَ.
14 وَلَمَّا حَانَتِ السَّاعَةُ، اتَّكَأَ وَمَعَهُ الرُّسُلُ،
15 وَقَالَ لَهُمْ: «اشْتَهَيْتُ بِشَوْقٍ أَنْ آكُلَ هَذَا الْفِصْحَ مَعَكُمْ قَبْلَ أَنْ أَتَأَلَّمَ.
16 فَإِنِّي أَقُولُ لَكُمْ: لَنْ آكُلَ مِنْهُ بَعْدُ، حَتَّى يَتَحَقَّقَ فِي مَلَكُوتِ اللهِ».
17 وَإِذْ تَنَاوَلَ كَأْساً وَشَكَرَ، قَالَ: «خُذُوا هَذِهِ وَاقْتَسِمُوهَا بَيْنَكُمْ.
18 فَإِنِّي أَقُولُ لَكُمْ إِنِّي لاَ أَشْرَبُ مِنْ نِتَاجِ الْكَرْمَةِ حَتَّى يَأْتِيَ مَلَكُوتُ اللهِ!»
19 وَإِذْ أَخَذَ رَغِيفاً، شَكَرَ، وَكَسَّرَ، وَأَعْطَاهُمْ قَائِلاً: «هَذَا جَسَدِي الَّذِي يُبْذَلُ لأَجْلِكُمْ. هَذَا افْعَلُوهُ لِذِكْرِي!»
20 وَكَذلِكَ أَخَذَ الْكَأْسَ أَيْضاً بَعْدَ الْعَشَاءِ، وَقَالَ: «هَذِهِ الْكَأْسُ هِيَ الْعَهْدُ الْجَدِيدُ بِدَمِي الَّذِي يُسْفَكُ لأَجْلِكُمْ.
21 ثُمَّ إِنَّ يَدَ الَّذِي يُسَلِّمُنِي هِيَ مَعِي عَلَى الْمَائِدَةِ.
22 فَابْنُ الإِنْسَانِ لابُدَّ أَنْ يَمْضِيَ كَمَا هُوَ مَحْتُومٌ، وَلكِنِ الْوَيْلُ لِذلِكَ الرَّجُلِ الَّذِي يُسَلِّمُهُ!»
23 فَأَخَذُوا يَتَسَاءَلُونَ فِيمَا بَيْنَهُمْ: مَنْ مِنْهُمْ يُوشِكُ أَنْ يَفْعَلَ هَذَا.
24 وَقَامَ بَيْنَهُمْ أَيْضاً جِدَالٌ فِي أَيُّهُمْ يُحْسَبُ الأَعْظَمَ.
25 فَقَالَ لَهُمْ: «إِنَّ مُلُوكَ الأُمَمِ يَسُودُونَهُمْ، وَأَصْحَابَ السُّلْطَةِ عِنْدَهُمْ يُدْعَوْنَ مُحْسِنِينَ.
26 وَأَمَّا أَنْتُمْ، فَلاَ يَكُنْ ذلِكَ بَيْنَكُمْ، بَلْ لِيَكُنِ الأَعْظَمُ بَيْنَكُمْ كَالأَصْغَرِ، وَالْقَائِدُ كَالْخَادِمِ.
27 فَمَنْ هُوَ أَعْظَمُ: الَّذِي يَتَّكِيءُ أَمِ الَّذِي يَخْدِمُ؟ أَلَيْسَ الَّذِي يَتَّكِيءُ؟ وَلكِنِّي أَنَا فِي وَسَطِكُمْ كَالَّذِي يَخْدِمُ.
28 أَنْتُمْ هُمُ الَّذِينَ صَمَدُوا مَعِي فِي تَجَارِبِي.
29 وَأَنَا أُعَيِّنُ لَكُمْ، كَمَا عَيَّنَ لِي أَبِي، مَلَكُوتاً،
30 لِكَيْ تَأْكُلُوا وَتَشْرَبُوا عَلَى مَائِدَتِي فِي مَلَكُوتِي، وَتَجْلِسُوا عَلَى عُرُوشٍ تَدِينُونَ أَسْبَاطَ إِسْرَائِيلَ الاِثْنَيْ عَشَرَ.
31 وَقَالَ الرَّبُّ «سِمْعَانُ، سِمْعَانُ! هَا إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ قَدْ طَلَبَكُمْ لِكَيْ يُغَرْبِلَكُمْ كَمَا يُغَرْبَلُ الْقَمْحُ،
32 وَلكِنِّي تَضَرَّعْتُ لأَجْلِكَ لِكَيْ لاَ يَخِيبَ إِيمَانُكَ. وَأَنْتَ، بَعْدَ أَنْ تُسْتَرَدَّ، ثَبِّتْ إِخْوَتَكَ».
33 فَقَالَ لَهُ: «يَارَبُّ، إِنِّي مُسْتَعِدٌّ أَنْ أَذْهَبَ مَعَكَ إِلَى السِّجْنِ وَإِلَى الْمَوْتِ مَعاً!»
34 فَقَالَ: «إِنِّي أَقُولُ لَكَ يَابُطْرُسُ إِنَّ الدِّيكَ لاَ يَصِيحُ الْيَوْمَ حَتَّى تَكُونَ قَدْ أَنْكَرْتَ ثَلاَثَ مَرَّاتٍ أَنَّكَ تَعْرِفُنِي!»
35 ثُمَّ قَالَ لَهُمْ: «حِينَ أَرْسَلْتُكُمْ بِلاَ صُرَّةِ مَالٍ وَلاَ كِيسِ زَادٍ وَلاَ حِذَاءٍ، هَلِ احْتَجْتُمْ إِلَى شَيْءٍ؟» فَقَالُوا: «لاَ!»
36 فَقَالَ لَهُمْ: «أَمَّا الآنَ، فَمَنْ عِنْدَهُ صُرَّةُ مَالٍ، فَلْيَأْخُذْهَا؛ وَكَذلِكَ مَنْ عِنْدَهُ حَقِيبَةُ زَادٍ. وَمَنْ لَيْسَ عِنْدَهُ، فَلْيَبِعْ رِدَاءَهُ وَيَشْتَرِ سَيْفاً.
37 فَإِنِّي أَقُولُ لَكُمْ: إِنَّ هَذَا الَّذِي كُتِبَ عُدَّ مَعَ الْمُجْرِمِينَ لاَبُدَّ أَنْ يَتِمَّ فِيَّ، لأَنَّ كُلَّ نُبُوءَةٍ تَخْتَصُّ بِي لَهَا إِتْمَامٌ!»
38 فَقَالُوا: «يَارَبُّ هَا هُنَا سَيْفَانِ». فَقَالَ لَهُمْ: «كَفَى!»
39 ثُمَّ انْطَلَقَ وَذَهَبَ كَعَادَتِهِ إِلَى جَبَلِ الزَّيْتُونِ، وَتَبِعَهُ التَّلاَمِيذُ أَيْضاً.
40 وَلَمَّا وَصَلَ إِلَى الْمَكَانِ، قَالَ لَهُمْ: «صَلُّوا لِكَيْ لاَ تَدْخُلُوا فِي تَجْرِبَةٍ».
41 وَابْتَعَدَ عَنْهُمْ مَسَافَةً تُقَارِبُ رَمْيَةَ حَجَرٍ، وَرَكَعَ يُصَلِّي
42 قَائِلاً: «يَاأَبِي، إِنْ شِئْتَ أَبْعِدْ عَنِّي هَذِهِ الْكَأْسَ. وَلكِنْ، لِتَكُنْ لاَ مَشِيئَتِي بَلْ مَشِيئَتُكَ».
43 وَظَهَرَ لَهُ مَلاَكٌ مِنَ السَّمَاءِ يُشَدِّدُهُ.
44 وَإِذْ كَانَ فِي صِرَاعٍ، أَخَذَ يُصَلِّي بِأَشَدِّ إِلْحَاحٍ؛ حَتَّى إِنَّ عَرَقَهُ صَارَ كَقَطَرَاتِ دَمٍ نَازِلَةٍ عَلَى الأَرْضِ.
45 ثُمَّ قَامَ مِنَ الصَّلاَةِ وَجَاءَ إِلَى التَّلاَمِيذِ، فَوَجَدَهُمْ نَائِمِينَ مِنَ الْحُزْنِ.
46 فَقَالَ لَهُمْ: «مَا بَالُكُمْ نَائِمِينَ؟ قُومُوا وَصَلُّوا لِكَيْ لاَ تَدْخُلُوا فِي تَجْرِبَةٍ!»
47 وَفِيمَا هُوَ يَتَكَلَّمُ، إِذَا جَمْعٌ يَتَقَدَّمُهُمُ الْمَدْعُوُّ يَهُوذَا، وَهُوَ وَاحِدٌ مِنَ الاِثْنَيْ عَشَرَ. فَتَقَدَّمَ إِلَى يَسُوعَ لِيُقَبِّلَهُ.
48 فَقَالَ لَهُ يَسُوعُ: «يَايَهُوذَا، أَبِقُبْلَةٍ تُسَلِّمُ ابْنَ الإِنْسَانِ؟»
49 فَلَمَّا رَأَى الَّذِينَ حَوْلَهُ مَا يُوشِكُ أَنْ يَحْدُثَ، قَالُوا: «يَارَبُّ، أَنَضْرِبُ بِالسَّيْفِ؟»
50 وَضَرَبَ أَحَدُهُمْ عَبْدَ رَئِيسِ الْكَهَنَةِ فَقَطَعَ أُذُنَهُ الْيُمْنَى.
51 فَأَجَابَ يَسُوعُ قَائِلاً: «قِفُوا عِنْدَ هَذَا الْحَدِّ!» وَلَمَسَ أُذُنَهُ فَشَفَاهُ.
52 وَقَالَ يَسُوعُ لِرُؤَسَاءِ الْكَهَنَةِ وَقُوَّادِ حَرَسِ الْهَيْكَلِ وَالشُّيُوخِ، الَّذِينَ أَقْبَلُوا عَلَيْهِ: «أَكَمَا عَلَى لِصٍّ خَرَجْتُمْ بِالسُّيُوفِ وَالْعِصِيِّ؟
53 عِنْدَمَا كُنْتُ مَعَكُمْ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ فِي الْهَيْكَلِ، لَمْ تَمُدُّوا أَيْدِيَكُمْ عَلَيَّ. وَلكِنَّ هَذِهِ السَّاعَةَ لَكُمْ، وَالسُّلْطَةُ الآنَ لِلظَّلاَمِ!»
54 وَإِذْ قَبَضُوا عَلَيْهِ، سَاقُوهُ حَتَّى دَخَلُوا بِهِ قَصْرَ رَئِيسِ الْكَهَنَةِ. وَتَبِعَهُ بُطْرُسُ مِنْ بَعِيدٍ.
55 وَلَمَّا أُشْعِلَتْ نَارٌ فِي سَاحَةِ الدَّارِ وَجَلَسَ بَعْضُهُمْ حَوْلَهَا، جَلَسَ بُطْرُسُ بَيْنَهُمْ.
56 فَرَأَتْهُ خَادِمَةٌ جَالِساً عِنْدَ الضَّوْءِ، فَدَقَّقَتِ النَّظَرَ فِيهِ، وَقَالَتْ: «وَهَذَا كَانَ مَعَهُ!»
57 وَلكِنَّهُ أَنْكَرَ قَائِلاً: «يَاامْرَأَةُ، لَسْتُ أَعْرِفُهُ!»
58 وَبَعْدَ وَقْتٍ قَصِيرٍ رَآهُ آخَرُ فَقَالَ: «وَأَنْتَ مِنْهُمْ!» وَلكِنَّ بُطْرُسَ قَالَ: «يَاإِنْسَانُ، لَيْسَ أَنَا!»
59 وَبَعْدَ مُضِيِّ سَاعَةٍ تَقْرِيباً، قَالَ آخَرُ مُؤَكِّداً: «حَقّاً إِنَّ هَذَا كَانَ مَعَهُ أَيْضاً، لأَنَّهُ أَيْضاً مِنَ الْجَلِيلِ!»
60 فَقَالَ بُطْرُسُ: «يَاإِنْسَانُ، لَسْتُ أَدْرِي مَا تَقُولُ!» وَفِي الْحَالِ وَهُوَ مَازَالَ يَتَكَلَّمُ، صَاحَ الدِّيكُ.
61 فَالْتَفَتَ الرَّبُّ وَنَظَرَ إِلَى بُطْرُسَ. فَتَذَكَّرَ بُطْرُسُ كَلِمَةَ الرَّبِّ إِذْ قَالَ لَهُ: «قَبْلَ أَنْ يَصِيحَ الدِّيكُ تَكُونُ قَدْ أَنْكَرْتَنِي ثَلاَثَ مَرَّاتٍ».
62 وَانْطَلَقَ إِلَى الْخَارِجِ، وَبَكَى بُكَاءً مُرّاً.
63 أَمَّا الرِّجَالُ الَّذِينَ كَانُوا يَحْرُسُونَ يَسُوعَ، فَقَدْ أَخَذُوا يَسْخَرُونَ مِنْهُ وَيَضْرِبُونَهُ،
64 وَيُغَطُّونَ وَجْهَهُ وَيَسْأَلُونَهُ: «تَنَبَّأْ! مَنِ الَّذِي ضَرَبَكَ؟»
65 وَوَجَّهُوا إِلَيْهِ شَتَائِمَ أُخْرَى كَثِيرَةً.
66 وَلَمَّا طَلَعَ النَّهَارُ، اجْتَمَعَ مَجْلِسُ شُيُوخِ الشَّعْبِ الْمُؤَلَّفُ مِنْ رُؤَسَاءِ الْكَهَنَةِ وَالْكَتَبَةِ، وَسَاقُوهُ أَمَامَ مَجْلِسِهِمْ.
67 وَقَالُوا: «إِنْ كُنْتَ أَنْتَ الْمَسِيحَ، فَقُلْ لَنَا!» فَقَالَ لَهُمْ: «إِنْ قُلْتُ لَكُمْ، لاَ تُصَدِّقُونَ،
68 وَإِنْ سَأَلْتُكُمْ، لاَ تُجِيبُونَنِي.
69 إِلاَّ أَنَّ ابْنَ الإِنْسَانِ مِنَ الآنَ سَيَكُونُ جَالِساً عَنْ يَمِينِ قُدْرَةِ اللهِ!»
70 فَقَالُوا كُلُّهُمْ: «أَأَنْتَ إِذَنِ ابْنُ اللهِ؟» قَالَ لَهُمْ: «أَنْتُمْ قُلْتُمْ، إِنِّي أَنَا هُوَ!»
71 !»فَقَالُوا: «أَيَّةُ حَاجَةٍ بِنَا بَعْدُ إِلَى شُهُودٍ؟ فَهَا نَحْنُ قَدْ سَمِعْنَا (شَهَادَةً) مِنْ فَمِهِ

Luke 22
The Plot to Kill Jesus
1Now the Feast of Unleavened Bread drew near, which is called Passover. 2 And the chief priests and the scribes sought how they might kill Him, for they feared the people.
3 Then Satan entered Judas, surnamed Iscariot, who was numbered among the twelve. 4 So he went his way and conferred with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray Him to them. 5 And they were glad, and agreed to give him money. 6 So he promised and sought opportunity to betray Him to them in the absence of the multitude.
Jesus and His Disciples Prepare the Passover
7 Then came the Day of Unleavened Bread, when the Passover must be killed. 8 And He sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat.”
9 So they said to Him, “Where do You want us to prepare?”
10 And He said to them, “Behold, when you have entered the city, a man will meet you carrying a pitcher of water; follow him into the house which he enters. 11 Then you shall say to the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says to you, “Where is the guest room where I may eat the Passover with My disciples?”’ 12 Then he will show you a large, furnished upper room; there make ready.”
13 So they went and found it just as He had said to them, and they prepared the Passover.
Jesus Institutes the Lord’s Supper
14 When the hour had come, He sat down, and the twelve apostles with Him. 15 Then He said to them, “With fervent desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer; 16 for I say to you, I will no longer eat of it until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.”
17 Then He took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, “Take this and divide it among yourselves; 18 for I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.”
19 And He took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.”
20 Likewise He also took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for you. 21 But behold, the hand of My betrayer is with Me on the table. 22 And truly the Son of Man goes as it has been determined, but woe to that man by whom He is betrayed!”
23 Then they began to question among themselves, which of them it was who would do this thing.
The Disciples Argue About Greatness
24 Now there was also a dispute among them, as to which of them should be considered the greatest. 25 And He said to them, “The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them, and those who exercise authority over them are called ‘benefactors.’ 26 But not so among you; on the contrary, he who is greatest among you, let him be as the younger, and he who governs as he who serves. 27 For who is greater, he who sits at the table, or he who serves? Is it not he who sits at the table? Yet I am among you as the One who serves.
28 “But you are those who have continued with Me in My trials. 29 And I bestow upon you a kingdom, just as My Father bestowed one upon Me, 30 that you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”
Jesus Predicts Peter’s Denial
31 And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat. 32 But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me, strengthen your brethren.”
33 But he said to Him, “Lord, I am ready to go with You, both to prison and to death.”
34 Then He said, “I tell you, Peter, the rooster shall not crow this day before you will deny three times that you know Me.”
Supplies for the Road
35 And He said to them, “When I sent you without money bag, knapsack, and sandals, did you lack anything?”
So they said, “Nothing.”
36 Then He said to them, “But now, he who has a money bag, let him take it, and likewise a knapsack; and he who has no sword, let him sell his garment and buy one. 37 For I say to you that this which is written must still be accomplished in Me: ‘And He was numbered with the transgressors.’For the things concerning Me have an end.”
38 So they said, “Lord, look, here are two swords.”
And He said to them, “It is enough.”
The Prayer in the Garden
39 Coming out, He went to the Mount of Olives, as He was accustomed, and His disciples also followed Him. 40 When He came to the place, He said to them, “Pray that you may not enter into temptation.”
41 And He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and prayed, 42 saying, “Father, if it is Your will, take this cup away from Me; nevertheless not My will, but Yours, be done.” 43 Then an angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him. 44 And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.

Pastor, Believers and Children Beaten

On August 3, a violent anti-Christian mob stormed into a church where Gospel for Asia missionary Vinay Ganpati was leading a worship service in Tamil Nadu, India. The fanatics viciously beat the pastor and all of the believers—including the small children present.
The church service was coming to a close when the angry mob surrounded the church and pelted stones at the congregation. Using wood planks and iron rods, the radicals rushed into the building and began mercilessly beating those who had come for worship.
The violence started after two women were found drowned in a pond near the church. Another woman, whom the villagers believe to be a local deity, claimed that her goddess spirit had killed the women because the church was meeting in the area.
The woman who claims to be the goddess incited local anti-Christian extremists to drive Vinay and the believers out of the village. She threatened more deaths if they did not comply with her request.
After the attack, one of the believers who was most severely beaten filed a report with the police department. Although things calmed down after the incident, none of the radicals had to face legal consequences for their actions.
Gospel for Asia leaders in the area went to the village and encouraged Vinay and the Christians. They also talked with police about the situation and asked for more protection for the church.
Now, because one of the radicals involved in the attack later died in an accident, the fanatics are again preparing to come against the church. The radicals believe that this is further work of the local goddess.
Vinay and the believers are continuing to worship in the church building, but the extremists have set an ultimatum that they must flee the village within two months. If the believers do not leave, the radicals say they will “face dire consequences.”
Gospel for Asia leaders and Vinay ask for prayer that the situation will remain peaceful and that they will be able to continue ministry in the area. They also request prayer that the believers will remain strong in their faith and that the anti-Christians will come to a saving knowledge of Jesus.
