God, rise up, save and protect Arabs!

Brothers it is time now to talk about Arabs. Who are Arabs and what will be their destiny.

I will offer you some questions and try to answer them after reading Suras (:)) in Bible. Ok?

1. First of all, who are Arabs?

The earliest documented use of the word “Arab” as defining a group of people dates from the 9th century BCE. Islamized but non-Arabized peoples, and therefore the majority of the world’s Muslims, do not form part of the Arab World but comprise what is the geographically larger and more diverse Muslim World.

In the modern era, defining who is an Arab is done on the grounds of one or more of the following three criteria:

  1. Genealogical: someone who can trace his or her ancestry to the tribes of Arabia – the original inhabitants of the Arabian Peninsula – and the Syrian Desert. This definition was the definition used in medieval times, for example by Ibn Khaldun, but has decreased in importance as more people have come to identify as Arabs.
  2. Linguistic: someone whose first language, and by extension cultural expression, is Arabic, including any of its varieties. This definition covers more than 300 million people. Certain groups that fulfill this criterion reject this definition on the basis of non-Arab ancestry, such an example may be seen in the way that Egyptians identify themselves.
  3. Political: in the modern nationalist era, any person who is a citizen of a country where Arabic is either the national language or one of the official languages, and/or a citizen of a country which may simply be a member of the Arab League (thereby having Arabic as an official government language, even if not used by the majority of the population). This definition would cover over 300 million people. It may be the most contested definition, as it is the most simplistic one. It would exclude the entire Arab diaspora outside of the Arab world, but include not only people with Arab ancestry (Gulf Arabs and others, such as Bedouins, where they may exist) or who identify themselves as Arabs, but would also include Arabized groups who do not identify themselves as Arabs (including many Lebanese and many Egyptians, both Christians and Muslims) and even non-Arabized ethnic minorities who have remained non-Arabic-speaking (such as the Berbers in Morocco, Kurds in Iraq, or the Somali majority of Arab League member Somalia).

The relative importance of these three factors is estimated differently by different groups and frequently disputed. Some combine aspects of each definition, as done by Habib Hassan Touma, who defines an Arab “in the modern sense of the word“, as “one who is a national of an Arab state, has command of the Arabic language, and possesses a fundamental knowledge of Arab tradition, that is, of the manners, customs, and political and social systems of the culture.” Most people who consider themselves Arab do so based on the overlap of the political and linguistic definitions. Few people consider themselves Arab based on the political definition without also having Arabic as a language. Thus few Kurds and Berbers identify as Arab, although for instance some Berbers also consider themselves Arab (see for example: Gellner, Ernest and Micaud, Charles, Eds. Arabs and Berbers: from tribe to nation in North Africa. Lexington: Lexington Books, 1972). Some religious minorities within Western Asia and North Africa who speak Arabic or any of its varieties as their primary community language, such as Egyptian Copts, may not identify as Arabs. The Arab League at its formation in 1946 defined Arab as “a person whose language is Arabic, who lives in an Arabic speaking country, who is in sympathy with the aspirations of the Arabic speaking peoples”.

The relation of ‘arab and ‘a’rāb is complicated further by the notion of “lost Arabs” al-‘Arab al-ba’ida mentioned in the Qur’an as punished for their disbelief. All contemporary Arabs were considered as descended from two ancestors, Qahtan and Adnan.

During the Muslim conquests of the seventh and eighth centuries, the Arabs forged an Arab Empire (under the Rashidun and Umayyads, and later the Abbasids) whose borders touched southern France in the west, China in the east, Asia Minor in the north, and the Sudan in the south. This was one of the largest land empires in history. Many groups became known as “Arabs” through this process of Arabization rather than through descent. Thus, over time, the term Arab came to carry a broader meaning than the original ethnic term: cultural Arab vs. ethnic Arab.

The first written attestation of the ethnonym “Arab” occurs in an Assyrian inscription of 853 BCE, where Shalmaneser III lists a King Gindibu of mâtu arbâi (Arab land) as among the people he defeated at the Battle of Karkar. Some of the names given in these texts are Aramaic, while others are the first attestations of Proto-Arabic dialects. In fact several different ethnonyms are found in Assyrian texts that are conventionally translated “Arab”: Arabi, Arubu, Aribi and Urbi. Many of the Qedarite queens were also described as queens of the aribi. The Hebrew Bible occasionally refers to Arvi peoples (or variants thereof), translated as “Arab” or “Arabian.” The scope of the term at that early stage is unclear, but it seems to have referred to various desert-dwelling Semitic tribes in the Syrian Desert and Arabia.

Tribal genealogy

Medieval Arab genealogists divided Arabs into three groups:

  • “Ancient Arabs”, tribes that had vanished or been destroyed, such as ‘Ad and Thamud, often mentioned in the Qur’an as examples of God’s power to destroy wicked peoples.
  • “Pure Arabs” of South Arabia, descending from Qahtan. The Qahtanites (Qahtanis) are said to have migrated the land of Yemen following the destruction of the Ma’rib Dam (sadd Ma’rib).
  • The “Arabized Arabs” (musta`ribah) of center and North Arabia, descending from Ishmael son of Abraham. The Book of Jubilees claims that the The sons of Ishmael intermingled with the 6 sons of Keturah from Abraham And was called Arabs and Ishmaelites:

Book of Jubilees 20:13 And Ishmael and his sons, and the sons of Keturah and their sons, went together and dwelt from Paran to the entering in of Babylon in all the land which is towards the East facing the desert. And these mingled with each other, and their name was called Arabs, and Ishmaelites.

Ibn Khaldun’s Muqaddima distinguishes between sedentary Muslims who used to be nomadic Arabs and the Bedouin nomadic Arabs of the desert. He used the term “formerly-nomadic” Arabs and refers to sedentary Muslims by the region or city they lived in, as in Egyptians, Spaniards and Yemenis.

2. What does Christian God think about Arabs?

First, I want to encourage you to walk in the strength of your calling to be A GREAT NATION as God said about you. We will consider it below. You are fully accepted and beloved by God Jesus, but also in accordance to the truth we discussed about your heritage in God. What are your lineage in the prophecies concerning Ishmael? You must not listen to foolish talk that somehow “predestines” you or your people to evil work and destruction. The God of Abraham is no such God! God of Abraham LOVES Arabs and His HEART is crying with you BROTHERS when He is seeing crimes in Palestine and Israel!

I do not believe the verse, which we will discuss right now below, says ANYTHING NEGATIVE about Ishmael and his descendants. On the contrary, when you look carefully, it is set in the middle of a story when Hagar (mother of Ishmael) was running away because of the harsh treatment of Sara, her master. In the time of Abraham, it was permitted to have a handmaiden – one who served a master for a period (normally to pay a debt for her family). Because Sara was jealous of her conception of Ishmael (16:5-6) after Hagar slept with Abraham (also allowed according to the law of the time), Sara scorned her. Hagar left because she could not bear the mistreatment. The angel of the Lord came to her and promised her some great things if she would return and submit to the difficult treatment. He said:

1.He said that God would multiply her seed into a huge multitude.

2. He told her that she would have a son (presumably through which the first promise would be accomplished) – and that she was to call the child “Ishmael” (Literally “God hears”).

3. She heard about the blessing of this child.

The blessing was in three parts: First, he would be a “wild ass”. At the time of the prophecy, Hagar saw wealth in terms of herds of camels, goats, sheep and donkeys. The nomadic life was not unlike the Bedouin today, a life of travel. The better pack animals were expensive, but necessary for moving.

The onacker (wild ass) is the kind left to wander and breed in the donkeys to add strength. It was an expensive animal, somewhat rare and very sought after. The promise, I believe was simple: your son will be an admired and valuable asset.

Second, the phrase “his hand will be against every man” is probably better translated more literally. The Hebrew of the passage reads: “YADO B’KOL V’ YAD KOL BO..” A literal reading of the passage says: His hand in everything and hand everything (in)… The translation has taken as a negative, “His hand will be against every man”, but is not the only way to read the passage. I wonder why an angel would try to encourage a mother with words like, “Everyone will be against your child!” It seems strange. I think the promise was also economic, and matches the end of the verse. I would suggest the meaning to be, “His hands will be in everything, and mixed with many others” , as in “He will be an enterprising youngster!” What could you say to a mother that would be more encouraging than “Your child will be wise in business!” The third and final phrase bears out this translation. The final phrase is translated in some versions, “He shall dwell in the presence of all of his brothers” (KJV) or “he shall live east of his brothers” (NAS). I suspect that both were to be true, but it seems like the issue of the text is the opportunities of the child. If he would be a “valuable young man, and his hands would be well mixed in the economy of his brothers”, the final phrase was probably meant to assure her of his ability to live among his brothers” (as opposed to her feeling that she must flee the tents of Abraham!).

I think the promises are positive, and there is NOT a justification for the tradition of some of the Rabbis and many of the Bible believing Christians that you are somehow “destined” to be against the Jewish people – a people of contention. I do not believe this is true, and I believe it accepts a notion that is fatalistic and Islamic in nature! You Arabs as Jews are destined to bring praise and glory to God as a believers! God loves you and your people! If, in fact, you are children of Abraham through Ishmael, then He created you as a child of blessing, and not curse. God has a special plan for Arabs (Isa. 60).You are a precious person in God’s eyes. His love for the sons of Abraham through Isaac does not blind Him for love to the sons of Abraham through Ishmael. God is bigger than that. He can love you and does love you!

How can you be accepted as Christian born in the Arab community? First, stop saying you are an “Arab Christian”. Remember, you are Christian, a follower of Messiah Jesus. Your ethnicity, your culture and everything about your identity should be wrapped up in your commitment to Jesus. Anything that is larger than that commitment subtracts from the honor we must give our Savior. His work at Calvary paid for you completely, and Jesus doesn’t want you to surrender to Him half way. Your attitudes must reflect His.

You cannot follow Jesus and still agree with those who deliberately ad indescriminately kill God’s most precious creation (people). In the end, judge everything by this rule: “I truly know God when I love what He loves (people), and hate what He hates (sin).” It seems in this emotionally charged place we live, people end up trying to convince us that
there are good reasons to hate, but I want you to know there are NOT!!!

God of LOVE does not accept the behavior of leaders in our part of the world that justify killing innocent people, even when we feel passionately about our reasons.

Promises concerning Ishmael:

Let’s read here many questions, then lets meditate and analyze them and answer to them (my answers will be in blue color):

1)      Read Genesis 17:20, 21: 13-18, and 25: 12-16. What is God’s plan for Ishmael and his descendants?

1.God will bless him

2.God will make him fruitful

3.God will increase his numbers

4.He will be father of 12 rulers

5. God will make him into a great nation because Ishmael is Abraham’s offspring

2)      Is God’s blessings, provision and purpose for Ishmael’s sons different from those He planned for Abraham and Isaac and their descendants?- Almost the same.

3)      Is Ishmael and his sons are still to be blessed  by God, what implication does that have for us?- 1. Arab nation will be blessed, fruitful, increased in numbers 2.It will be a great nation

4)      Look another prophecy in Isaiah 60:1-22

1.What future events are featured in this passage?

2.Whose sons are Kedar and Nebaioth, and what are they doing?- sons of Ishmael, Kedar’s flocks will be gathered to God. Rams of Nebaioth will serve God. It means flocks of Arabs will worship God Jesus Lamb of God

5) What do Genesis 12 and 22 tell us about God’s unchanging purpose?- To save and bless all nations.

6) How God predicted the fulfillment of his promise and oath? Read Revelation 5:9-10 and 7:9-10- People will be a Kingdom and priests to serve out Lord. Christians will rein on the earth. How do Muslims tribes, nations and peoples figure into his promise?- they will be blessed by God, by Christians. They will praise God. They will be saved. They will rein. They will be a Kingdom of God.

7) What further clarification of God’s unchanging purpose is given in Galatians 3:8 and 14?

1.We will be justified by FAITH in Jesus

2.We who have faith are blessed

3.Blessing given to Abraham might come through Jesus and by faith we could receive the promises of the Spirit

  • God promised that He would make Ishmael a great nation.
  • From this promise ensued what we see today – more than 20 Arab nations, occupying a vast area of oil-rich land.
  • God has indeed BLESSED the Arabs!

Other Arab Descendants of Abraham

Abraham married Keturah after his wife, Sarah, died…

  • Keturah bore Abraham six sons.
  • Many Arabs trace their genealogies to these six sons.
  • Accordingly, some Arabs are descended from Ishmael. Others are descended from the six sons of Keturah. ALL are descended from Abraham.

Arab Descendants of Isaac

Abraham’s son, Isaac, had twin sons — Jacob and Esau.

  • The descendants of Esau and his Canaanite wives are Arabs.
  • The descendants of Jacob and his four wives are Jews.

Arabs and Jews Are “Blood Relatives”

Arab’s and Jews are descended from the same person — Abraham.

Arabs and Jews are descended from half-brothers – Ishmael and Isaac.

Arabs and Jews are descended from twin brothers – Esau and Jacob.

Family Feud!

The half-brothers, Ishmael and Isaac, did NOT get along with each other.

So the child (Isaac) grew and was weaned. And Abraham made a great feast on the same day that Isaac was weaned. And Sarah saw the son (Ishmael) of Hagar the Egyptian, whom she had borne to Abraham, scoffing (mocking Isaac). Gen 21.8-9 The twin brothers, Esau and Jacob, did NOT get along with each other. So Esau hated Jacob because of the blessing with which his father blessed him (Jacob), and Esau said in his heart, “The days of mourning for my father are at hand; then I will kill my brother Jacob.” (because of Jacob’s deceit) Gen 27.41And today, the Arabs and Jews — descendants of these two pairs of feuding brothers — STILL do not get along together.

One might say that it’s the longest family feud in history!

Prophecies Concerning the Arabs

The verses alongside show that Arabs and Jews will ultimately be LINKED TOGETHER, as a blessing from God in the midst of the land.

Finally, in the last days, the Arabs who live in Israel at that time will be allotted a share of the land, TOGETHER with the tribes of Israel…

  • God has decreed that the family feud between Arabs and Jews shall one day be ended.
  • In that day, Ishmael and Isaac shall at last embrace. And Esau and Jacob shall embrace.
  • And Arab and Jew — as brothers should — shall at long last EMBRACE one another.

No, God will NOT “wipe out” the Arabs. Neither will He allow ANY nation or force to wipe out the Jews.

Peace Like a River

And there shall be peace at last. World peace! LASTING peace…

  • Not by the efforts of humankind.
  • But by the settled decree of God Almighty! Amen.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son-Jesus-, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3.16

(God is…) not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.
2 Pet 3.9

In that day (the last days) there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian will come into Egypt and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians will serve with the Assyrians.

In that day Israel will be one of three with Egypt and Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land, whom the Lord of hosts shall bless, saying, “Blessed is Egypt My people, and Assyria the work of My hands, and Israel My inheritance.Isa 19.23-25 (see also Jer 12.14-17)

It shall be that you (the Jews) will divide it (the land God gave Israel) by lot as an inheritance for yourselves, and for the strangers (Arabs) who sojourn among you and who bear children among you. They shall be to you as native-born among the children of Israel; they (the Arabs) shall have an inheritance with you among the tribes of Israel. Ezek 47.21-22

For the Lord will have mercy on Jacob, and will still choose Israel, and settle them (the Jews) in their own land. The strangers (Arabs) will be joined with them, and they will cling to the house of Jacob.
Isa 14.1

For thus says the Lord: “Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream. then you shall feed; on her sides shall you be carried, and be dandled on her knees.” Isa 66.12

Jesus, Lord, please save all Arabs who are reading this message! You always LOVED them and thank you for Your unchangeable LOVE to us! Amen.

Part 2:

Mona, Dalia, my dear brothers Arabs,

Let’s discuss with you all Scriptures referred to Arabs.

You said:

…..you are right, Dalia

Their Bible hates Arabs.

Do you know what Paul said about Arabs?

Now you, brothers, like Isaac, are children of promise. At that time the son born in the ordinary way persecuted the son born by the power of the Spirit. It is the same now. But what does the Scripture say? “Get rid of the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman’s son.”
Therefore, brothers, we are not children of the slave woman, but of the free woman.” (Galatians 4:28-31)

He means by “Slave woman” Hagar and by “Slave woman’s son” Ishmael.

See how he feels about Arabs?

But now we will read the Holy Scriptures and analyze!

I will comment the scriptures in red color:

Galatians 4 (New King James Version)

1 Now I say that the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all, 23 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world. 4 But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.
6 And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” 7 Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.-
but is under guardians and stewards until the time appointed by the father. Paul says that we all were slaved of sins. We were in bondages and servants of devil. We were not different from slaves. But God sent us Jesus to redeem us. We received through Him adoption of God as sons. It means through faith in Him are not slaves anymore. We are born again..or born from above and Holy Spirit in us and that’s why we can cry lound: Abba, Father, save my Arabs..my Mona…my Dalia…my Gamal…my Ahmed…my Nancy…my Yousuf…my brothers Arabs…We are not slaves of sins anymorebut we are heirs of God, His Inheritance.

Fears for the Church

8 But then, indeed, when you did not know God, you served those which by nature are not gods. 9 But now after you have known God, or rather are known by God, how is it that you turn again to the weak and beggarly elements, to which you desire again to be in bondage? 10 You observe days and months and seasons and years. 11 I am afraid for you, lest I have labored for you in vain.
12 Brethren, I urge you to become like me, for I became like you. You have not injured me at all. 13 You know that because of physical infirmity I preached the gospel to you at the first. 14 And my trial which was in my flesh you did not despise or reject, but you received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus. 15 What then was the blessing you enjoyed? For I bear you witness that, if possible, you would have plucked out your own eyes and given them to me. 16 Have I therefore become your enemy because I tell you the truth?
17 They zealously court you, but for no good; yes, they want to exclude you, that you may be zealous for them. 18 But it is good to be zealous in a good thing always, and not only when I am present with you. 19 My little children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you, 20 I would like to be present with you now and to change my tone; for I have doubts about you.
Then he says that we all served other gods…but by nature they are not GOD FATHER! He says to Christians: why you are not slaves of sins anymore but you are doing what you should not do? He is asking: why we are doing again what God forbids? He is urging Christians to be how he- Paul- was. Paul was the first Christian missionary in Muslim World. He was spreading Christianity in Syria after his convirtion. He is asking: why do they consider him as enemy if he says truth that we should live PURE and HOLY.

Two Covenants

21 Tell me, you who desire to be under the law, do you not hear the law? 22 For it is written that Abraham had two sons: the one by a bondwoman, the other by a freewoman. 23 But he who was of the bondwoman was born according to the flesh, and he of the freewoman through promise, 24 which things are symbolic. For these are the two covenants: the one from Mount Sinai which gives birth to bondage, which is Hagar— 25 for this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia, and corresponds to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children— 26 but the Jerusalem above is free, which is the mother of us all. 27 For it is written:

He says why you want to live with God but you don’t obey God? Why are you sinning? And he gives example to show difference between slavery and freedom. All of them knew that Ishmael was born from Agar and that she was left by Ibrahim to live alone..because his wife Sara was jealous.  He says: Low is law! One child is born according to law and has all inheritance another is slave. He uses such parable: like Agar could be called Jerusalem where people are living in slavery….slavery of sins….and bondages on the hands and hearts of Jews and Palestinians…but he says that we have Jerusalim from above- the Kingdom of Heaven- where we could live as sons under law and not slaves as in Islam anymore….And God Father will be our Father. Father of Arabs and Jews.

“ Rejoice, O barren,
You who do not bear!
Break forth and shout,
You who are not in labor!
For the desolate has many more children
Than she who has a husband.”

-This Sura 🙂 means: we all were barren…forsaken..no one did care of us…we didn’t have husband to protect us….but now OUR FATHER forgave all our sins and we have more children then other people…which children? FAMILY of saved people in the Kingdom of God.
28 Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are children of promise. 29 But, as he who was born according to the flesh then persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, even so it is now. 30

If you remember God said to Ibraham that he will have child from God. It means he was child of promise. But Sara didn’t believe God that she could conceive a child when she was too old. And she offered her Egyptian servant Agar to Ibraham as a wife. By the way Agar was called by God in Bible as wife of Ibrahim.  God called her wife but according to people’s law she was servant. In the eyes of God she was wife. Probably the old son had conflicts with younger son Isaac and they had small fighting…It is normal in families but Paul says that people who are not born above from God are fighting the same way in Palestine and Israel. Because Spirit of God is LOVE. Fight or HATERID and LOVE cannot be together! Sins and hatred are just unacceptable for God.

Nevertheless what does the Scripture say? “Cast out the bondwoman and her son, for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman.” 31 So then, brethren, we are not children of the bondwoman but of the free.

Do you remember brothers who said these words?- SARA. Jealous Sara. She didn’t want to see another wife of Ibrahim. It is jealousy! And she asked Ibrahim to cast out bondservant and Ishmael. But if you remember even when Agar left alone GOD NEVER LEFT her. He blessed Her and ISHMAEL. WHY? Because HE LOVED HER! He could not be other than LOVE! Why Paul was mentioning words of Sara here? Because he wanted to show example to Jews that only FREE and SAVED SONS will enter the KINGDOM of HEAVEN!!!!! NOT slaves of SINS! No WAY! But Arabs who are adopted by God through faith in Jesus!!!!!

God please SAVE all brothers, my dear Arabs, who are reading this message by YOUR unlimited power! Protect MY BLOOD- my brothers! PLEASE take them at hand and lead them into Your Kingdom, Father! In the name of Jesus, I prayed. Amen.

Bahira
