Bahria I forwarded this email  to lots of people to share their ideas and opinions… but need to know your own experience concerning such controversial issue. Pls, be honest when you narrate your previous experience and you can add Sazie in this matter … We just need to know how you mix religion with sex….

Brothers, God clearly said that we, Christians, should not be married with Muslims. But why? I will explain you that below. I wanted to marry one Muslim to convert him to God Jesus. I knew that life with this man could be hell for me but I was ready for hell to give him life and to share with him the way of LIFE. Because God Jesus is the LIFE, the TRUTH and LOVE we all are looking for. And there is no other way to God except God Jesus. This Muslim was crying many times when he went with me to Christian Arab church or when he was listening to words of God said by Christian Arabs. But God did not allow me to marry him and my God destroyed all possible or potential future with this man because I asked my God to give him faith in God Jesus or to destroy everything. So, God destroyed it.

My friend (missionary) said: “My former spouse decided to leave the relationship. I was broken hearted but have come to accept it and experience God’s healing grace. I have learned to trust God, let go of more, believe the best and care for those who suffer.”

So, brothers, God can help us to experience God’s healing grace! We can love each other but why is it important to obey God?
Let’s read this analysis below and try to understand what is in God’s heart toward us:

A Muslim man is allowed to marry a Christian woman, but a Christian man is not permitted to marry a Muslim woman.
I remember hearing an interview on the radio with a Muslim, a few years ago. As the interview began, the host asked the Muslim guest whether he was married. He replied that Islam is so open and tolerant that he is married to a Christian. Islam means equality and no discrimination.
However, the quick-minded interviewer asked him if Islam allows a Jewish man or a Christian man to marry a Muslim woman. The guest’s enthusiasm dropped a little. He had to concede that Islam does not allow this. The radio host pressed home the point, saying that the guest’s first statement was a little misleading, wasn’t it? They argued for a moment or two. Then, if I recall correctly, the radio host sensed his guest’s unease and changed the subject.
This short article from a Muslim website, representing many others, says about religiously mixed marriages:
It is not permissible for a Muslim woman to marry a non-Muslim man.
It is permissible for a Muslim man to marry a Christian/Jewish woman strictly under these two conditions:

  1. She is a true Christian/Jew – not by name and/or ancestral background.
  2. She did not renegade from Islam and become a Christian/Jew.

Why is marriage allowed in only one direction? Maybe seventh-century Arab culture will answer this question. Perhaps the Quran itself does not honor women, married or not.
What does the New Testament say on the matter?

The Quran
For the historical and literary topical context of this next sura (chapter), please click here.
The Quran in Sura 5:5 says:
. . . Likewise you are permitted to marry chaste believing women [Muslims] or chaste women among the people who were given the Scripture [Jews and Christians] . . . . (Maududi, vol. 1, p. 427)
This verse, as noted, says that Islam permits Muslim men to marry non-Muslim women who are Christians and Jews, but a Jewish or Christian man may not marry a Muslim woman. (In this article I will address only the Christian community.) What is the rationale behind the ruling?
Beyond any doubt, Islam is patriarchal, so a Muslim man must have final control in the relationship. For example, Sura 4:34 says that a husband may hit his wife, but no verse in the Quran says a wife may hit her husband—as if domestic violence in any form is acceptable.
It may be true that Muhammad at first respected Judaism and Christianity, but he turned against them later on in his life, as seen in this article and this one. So this means that in seventh-century Arab culture a Muslim man may dominate his wife or wives, but not a Christian man who would dominate his Muslim wife.
Islam allegedly is the best and final religion for all humankind, and the Muslim man may convert his submissive wife. Perhaps in Muhammad’s mind no woman could ever convert a Muslim man, if he is a traditionalist. Today, this is especially true if he comes from a hard line region in an Islamic country or a hard line Muslim family.
Therefore, Christian women must be careful about marrying Muslim men. Islam does not give the same rights to women as it does to men. In fact, the Quran clearly says that women are inferior to men.
Further, to be blunt, but also factual, Islam generally is a cruel and harsh slave-master. This article shows that Muslim men are permitted to have sex with their slave-girls. This article gives the top ten reasons why Islam is not the religion of peace. And this article offers the top ten reasons why Islamic law is bloody and excessive—six hundred years after Jesus showed us a better way. Finally, this article gives the top ten rules in the Quran that oppress and insult women. Islam, as the whole world knows by many, many reports, does not honor women.
Therefore, Christians must not trade in the eternal Son of God who sets people free today and offers the love of God, for a human and mortal messenger Muhammad (Suras 3:144; 39:30; 41:4), who is too often cruel and harsh and misogynistic. Islam does not honor women.
If a Christian woman marries a Muslim, but holds on to her beliefs, such as the Sonship and Lordship of Christ, then ipso facto she holds on to a false belief and may be considered a “heretic” or an “infidel,” if the Quran and traditional Islamic theology are followed consistently.
Also, would the children be Muslims or Christians, or secular? The answer is clear, if Islam is followed consistently.
What kind of marriage would this be? Where is the spiritual connection and agreement between husband and wife and God?

The New Testament
The New Testament starts the soon-to-be married couple on an equal footing in the selection of a mate.
The New Testament in 1 Corinthians 7:39 says that a Christian woman may marry only a Christian man (and vice-versa) (see also 2 Corinthians 6:14-18). At first glance, this divine counsel seems too restrictive, but looked at more deeply, it demonstrates a lot of wisdom. If a married couple starts their walk together with the same faith and theology, then this takes the pressure off of possibly converting the partner to the other’s faith. One partner does not have to “evangelize” the other partner. Neither partner starts off as an “infidel” or “heretic.”
In Biblical Christianity, the man and the woman must have a deep, spiritual relationship with Jesus Christ, individually, through the power of the Holy Spirit before they become one flesh in marriage. This means their spiritual intimacy with the Lord will be shared in the couple’s own intimacy with each other.
Also, this true spiritual equality takes away any patriarchy. The woman already agrees with the husband in matters of religion, so what need does he have to control the relationship and lay down religious law?
In a way, Islam acknowledges this restriction when it forbids a Muslim from marrying a polytheist or idolater (Sura 2:221). They are too far apart theologically. Likewise, though neither religion is polytheistic, Islam and Christianity are too far apart theologically and spiritually, notably in Muhammad’s denial of the Sonship of Jesus Christ, an essential, non-negotiable doctrine in Christianity. Islam wrongly demotes Jesus to a mere prophet. The New Testament everywhere affirms the Sonship of Christ.
On a heart-felt level, the Muslim does not receive the Holy Spirit because he does not receive Christ as Savior and Lord. In fact, Islamic theology erroneously reduces the Holy Spirit to the angel Gabriel. This means that a marriage between a Muslim and a Christian would be unequal. And this is risky for the Christian, since she would be most vulnerable to a particularly strong patriarchy that may rear its ugly head later on in the marriage.
Remember, the Quran gives permission to husbands to hit their wives if the husbands merely fear high handedness or rebellion in their wives (Sura 4:34).
Besides this practical reason, if a Christian understands the New Testament, then he or she must not marry a Muslim, for spiritual and theological reasons.
A Christian couple must keep spiritual unity. They must raise their children in spiritual harmony, as followers of Christ.

My criticism is not leveled against Muslims but against Islam as a religious system and against its early violent history, when Muhammad himself was founding the original community, and against its later violent history.
The truth about these things must get out.
Thus, this article has nothing to say about race. Both Christianity and Islam allow the marriage of different races. For example, a white Christian can marry a black Christian. No problem. In Christianity, the only requirement is that each one must be a believer and follower of Christ and receive the Holy Spirit.
But this article is all about values and theology. More important, it is about our relationship with Jesus Christ—or absence of this relationship, sadly.
The difference between Islam and Christianity on religiously mixed marriages is simple.
Islam allows Muslim men to marry Christian women, period. It does not allow a Christian man to marry a Muslim woman. So Islam’s alleged “openness” and tolerance” and “non-discrimination” is a one-way street. Men are in control. It may be true that individual Muslim men may not control things, and they may even be saintly. However, if they follow their Quran, then they have permission to exert a lot of patriarchal authority, as noted earlier, for example, in Sura 4:34, which permits men to hit their wives. The children would be raised Muslims, if the Muslim man—the head of household—follows Islam. Thus, the family would not be harmonious.
Christianity, in contrast, says that a married Christian couple should be equally yoked together spiritually, in Christ. This means that the couple does not have to worry about deep theological differences. They start off in unity. The man does not have to worry about her being an infidel. The man does not have to exert patriarchal control, just to keep a semblance of unity. The children are raised Christians, little followers of Christ. The family is therefore harmonious.
In Christ, there is family harmony. In the religion of Islam, there are family differences and potential strife in religiously mixed marriages.

So, brothers, we all should be married and happy. But as I said it before, “It is impossible to be happy without our God. You can be happy up to 90% but complete happiness in your life could be only if you are building up relationships on the Word of our God/ God Jesus Christ!” We all can do what we want, but our ‘construction of building’ without SUPPORT and BARAKA/ BLESSING of God  is a time spent in vain because everything what is not built upon the SOLID ROCK -God Jesus- will perish and will be destroyed by sins against God and people and even against our body.

1 Corinthians 7 (New King James Version)

1 Corinthians 7

Principles of Marriage

1 Now concerning the things of which you wrote to me:
It is good for a man not to touch a woman. 2 Nevertheless, because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband. 3 Let the husband render to his wife the affection due her, and likewise also the wife to her husband. 4 The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does. And likewise the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does. 5 Do not deprive one another except with consent for a time, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again so that Satan does not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. 6 But I say this as a concession, not as a commandment. 7 For I wish that all men were even as I myself. But each one has his own gift from God, one in this manner and another in that.
8 But I say to the unmarried and to the widows: It is good for them if they remain even as I am; 9 but if they cannot exercise self-control, let them marry. For it is better to marry than to burn with passion.

Keep Your Marriage Vows

10 Now to the married I command, yet not I but the Lord: A wife is not to depart from her husband. 11 But even if she does depart, let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband. And a husband is not to divorce his wife.
12 But to the rest I, not the Lord, say: If any brother has a wife who does not believe, and she is willing to live with him, let him not divorce her. 13 And a woman who has a husband who does not believe, if he is willing to live with her, let her not divorce him. 14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband; otherwise your children would be unclean, but now they are holy. 15 But if the unbeliever departs, let him depart; a brother or a sister is not under bondage in such cases. But God has called us to peace. 16 For how do you know, O wife, whether you will save your husband? Or how do you know, O husband, whether you will save your wife?

Live as You Are Called

17 But as God has distributed to each one, as the Lord has called each one, so let him walk. And so I ordain in all the churches. 18 Was anyone called while circumcised? Let him not become uncircumcised. Was anyone called while uncircumcised? Let him not be circumcised. 19 Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing, but keeping the commandments of God is what matters. 20 Let each one remain in the same calling in which he was called. 21 Were you called while a slave? Do not be concerned about it; but if you can be made free, rather use it. 22 For he who is called in the Lord while a slave is the Lord’s freedman. Likewise he who is called while free is Christ’s slave. 23 You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of men. 24 Brethren, let each one remain with God in that state in which he was called.

To the Unmarried and Widows

25 Now concerning virgins: I have no commandment from the Lord; yet I give judgment as one whom the Lord in His mercy has made trustworthy. 26 I suppose therefore that this is good because of the present distress—that it is good for a man to remain as he is: 27 Are you bound to a wife? Do not seek to be loosed. Are you loosed from a wife? Do not seek a wife. 28 But even if you do marry, you have not sinned; and if a virgin marries, she has not sinned. Nevertheless such will have trouble in the flesh, but I would spare you.
29 But this I say, brethren, the time is short, so that from now on even those who have wives should be as though they had none, 30 those who weep as though they did not weep, those who rejoice as though they did not rejoice, those who buy as though they did not possess, 31 and those who use this world as not misusing it. For the form of this world is passing away.
32 But I want you to be without care. He who is unmarried cares for the things of the Lord—how he may please the Lord. 33 But he who is married cares about the things of the world—how he may please his wife. 34 There is a difference between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman cares about the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit. But she who is married cares about the things of the world—how she may please her husband. 35 And this I say for your own profit, not that I may put a leash on you, but for what is proper, and that you may serve the Lord without distraction.
36 But if any man thinks he is behaving improperly toward his virgin, if she is past the flower of youth, and thus it must be, let him do what he wishes. He does not sin; let them marry. 37 Nevertheless he who stands steadfast in his heart, having no necessity, but has power over his own will, and has so determined in his heart that he will keep his virgin, does well. 38 So then he who gives her in marriage does well, but he who does not give her in marriage does better.
39 A wife is bound by law as long as her husband lives; but if her husband dies, she is at liberty to be married to whom she wishes, only in the Lord. 40 But she is happier if she remains as she is, according to my judgment—and I think I also have the Spirit of God.

2 Corinthians 6

Marks of the Ministry

1 We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain. 2 For He says:

“ In an acceptable time I have heard you,
And in the day of salvation I have helped you.”
Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.
3 We give no offense in anything, that our ministry may not be blamed. 4 But in all things we commend ourselves as ministers of God: in much patience, in tribulations, in needs, in distresses, 5 in stripes, in imprisonments, in tumults, in labors, in sleeplessness, in fastings; 6 by purity, by knowledge, by longsuffering, by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by sincere love, 7 by the word of truth, by the power of God, by the armor of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, 8 by honor and dishonor, by evil report and good report; as deceivers, and yet true; 9 as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold we live; as chastened, and yet not killed; 10 as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.

Be Holy

11 O Corinthians! We have spoken openly to you, our heart is wide open. 12 You are not restricted by us, but you are restricted by your own affections. 13 Now in return for the same (I speak as to children), you also be open.
14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? 15 And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? 16 And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said:

“ I will dwell in them
And walk among them.
I will be their God,
And they shall be My people.”

17 Therefore

“ Come out from among them
And be separate, says the Lord.
Do not touch what is unclean,
And I will receive you.”
18 “ I will be a Father to you,
And you shall be My sons and daughters,
Says the LORD Almighty.”

Arabs and Muslims,

Brothers, Islam and the Bible call Jesus as Kalimat-Ullah- WORD of Allah!

Will you reject God by rejecting His SON?

Look if you will reject Son, it means you dont believe in His Father Allah. It means you are AGAINST Allah.

Islam came later after prophecies of Allah already existed that His Son Jesus will save the world from sins. So, what is Islam? ONE of religions. Look brother, there are millions religions and all they worship millions of gods which are called by God of Ibrahim as IDOLS.

Way for people worshiping idols is hell. Islam is among them. Why? Because Islam makes God of our father Ibrahim a LIAR by claiming that there is NO Son of God. Islam is closing eyes of Muslims to the words of Allah. Which man on the earth is able to BEAR INIQUITIES of the world? Sins of people? How SERVANT canJUSTIFY many people? It is impossible for a man. But only for God! We worship perfect God. He DIED instead on us. His name is the most perfect – Jesus….Isa Ibn Allah…Isa Allah…Issa Al Massih. And He is God of our father Ibrahim. Turn from sins to HIM and LIVE eternally as son of God!

Be saved right NOW

Subject: Re: Welcome to Kasr El-Dobara! long will this irrational thinking go on?every religion based upon the bible ,quaran or whatever is irrational.the writers of all these books should be very proud of themselves for creating such diversity and destruction amongst ignorant and scared people.have you ever wondered which ‘books’were used before these books of destruction?have you ever wondered if the people from medieval times prayed upon a god(s) for forgiveness, mercy ,rewards or even to kill another human being?Yes,they did.And if they got their rewards who did they thank?-their respective god(s).No book, simply a believe-No one at that time knew whether there were a true god or not…the same today.Take this for example:you (muslim)play against a fellow christian/jew whatsoever religion and you pray beforehand.Lets say you win. What will your reponse be?Allah helped you.right?the opposite is also true.Should you have lost ,the christian/jew would have said the same about his god.Now have a look at the Bushmen. They don’t have a book;yet they believe that whatever they get is from their god(raingod, sungod)whoever…and you and i can’t persuade them otherwise.
Now let’s have a look at one or two absurd things in the bible(for example)…Adam and Eve are supposedly the first human know its wrong cause paeleontoligists discover on a regular basis new evidence that proof Adam and Eve were not the first humans on earth.(Go check your dinnosaurus -time line).Anothe rabsurd thing-God is a God of peace and not violence(get real)..the bible is smeared with fighting, war and who is always in the middle of it?-God.He should be impartial, right? But no-he takes the side of a certain group/nation…And you want me to believe that or praise him?
Now let’s have a look at the quran:Prophet(if he deserves that name)Mohammad took a little girl by the name of Aisha when she was 6 and married her at the age of 9!What the hell is wrong with you muslims to justify that?6 is a child.would it not have been good to read that he took her as his own child and took care of her cause she was poor??No.he took her as a sex slave cause he only had sex on his mind and i know for a fact he would not have given his daughter of 6 to another man for sex(no matter how you want to put it)…the same with you who follow him. Many of you men are sex crazy-you would want to have sex with a minor but dare anyone touch your sister of 6!–But the prophet(it should have been profit) did it so i can also do it-without reasoning or challenge.Your type dont want to emancipate yourselves -instead you follow the path of absurdness and destruction in the name of……..By the way many of you can’t reason. One thing you can do very good is to get angry…which means you speak the Language of Violence….and those like you will understand like Mohammad who just want to sex and fight. The writings about him is specked with fighting and war….and his followers know nothing better. You know why?You were born and bred a muslim and you know nothing else than the quaran and those who don’t have the quaran -they are seen as the enemy…You know we all would have been dead if hitler had his way,but than Allah saved the world;oh sorry it was sinfull America and Russia….

Calie hi,

Thank you for message. I liked it. Talk to me here:

God said that He is LOVE. He tried to stop Cain when he contemplated murder of his brother Abel in the Genesis (the Old Testament). God tried to stop killing and His way is Peace. He desires to give us peace because only He is the Source of Peace. But the death is result of sins. That’s why the Bible is full of such events when people where killed. Do you remember that even Moses killed people who wanted to return back to Egypt to slavery. Yes, this story shocked us but Moses did not enter the promised land which is the symbol of the Kingdom of Heaven because Moses was found by God to be a sinner. It is symbol that if we will live in sins we will not get into the Kingdom of Heaven…to our promised land. Moses killed these people to show to other people who wanted to live with God that there is NO WAY back! Without God we ALL will be DEAD! So, this story shows us HOW it is dangerous to live without God. He is the source of everything, love and peace. Without Him we cannot survive. Without Him we are like in desert and we do not have water. But this WATER is God. We are created to live with Him and without Him our lives are destructed by sins. That’s why the Bible is full of wars which are TELLING us like symbols that we are also in the war with ‘the evil spirits/jinnes’ (as you mentioned in your letter) and we will be crashed to pieces if we will not conquer them by ESTABLISHING the Kingdom of God on their territory! The Kingdom of God will be established by the power of God evident in our lives when we will give our hearts to God for eternal dwelling there. He will enter into our hearts and minds and transform us to be LIKE He is. Then we will be called the sons of God. God did not start war with Lucifer/satan but Lucifer did it. Lucifer and his jinnes are killing people here. They even killed the Son of God who lived among us on the earth. But did God kill all His enemies to protect His Son? No. God is LOVE and He refused to kill anyone. But our sins and evil spirits are killing us. God brings us salvation and forgiveness of our sins to SET US FREE of them. Is it not LOVE?! Who in this world is like such LOVING and MERCIFUL God?! God decided to be killed on the cross than to kill! But He did it KNOWING the FUTURE because He is Omniscient. This Future with God is perfect and with all His children saved by Him. All who refuse to get this salvation will perish because there will be no source of life for them because God is this Source!

Sister, salvation is very simple: through FAITH in God Jesus, REPENTANCE and CONFESSION of your sins.
You should believe in God Jesus and LIVE according to His words, WALKING in FAITH what means implementing all His words and commandments. This life means REPENTANCE of your sins when you TURN from sins to GOD, when you ABANDON your sins and make a STEP of FAITH toward God. God will purify you like gold and after repentance He promised to forget and forgive your sins. You will be FREE of your sins and the Holy Spirit will give you a TESTIMONY in your heart that you are forgiven and adopted by God to be His Inheritance. If you will BE SURE in this FORGIVENESS you are FORGIVEN by God and this assurance will be granted to you by God Himself. God does not want to make this salvation complicated. It is VERY simple. But it is NOT a miracle. We should NOT wait when we will become holy by any miracle but we SHOULD become HOLY by TURNING from sins to God Jesus. This is the TRUE repentance evident in your changed and holy life. If you will not abandon your sin, you are sinner. NOT a CHRISTIAN! If you didn’t turn from your sins, you are sinner. You are not Christian but a criminal against God and people. That’s why to BE SAVED: BELIEVE, REPENT, CONFESS your sins, ABANDON them and LIVE a holy life. The way of sin is not for you! But the Kingdom of your Father is FOR YOU!

John 3:16

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

Here I am, Lord.  Send me.

Life in Danger for ‘Friend of Outcasts’

February 5, 2006

To the “outcasts” of society, Believers Church Pastor Kawal has been a true friend. But today his life is on the line because of religious oppression, and he needs the prayers of his Christian brothers and sisters around the world.

Kawal serves the Lord in North India, reaching out to a community where many low-caste tribals live. In the system that governs their society, they are looked down on and trampled upon by those of higher castes.

With Christ’s compassion for these oppressed people, Kawal began visiting homes with a listening ear, prayers, and the Good News of Jesus Christ. They marveled, because most people wouldn’t even think about visiting their homes or associating with them!

Kawal gained their trust with his kindness, and they began to flock to his home as well, asking for prayer. Through such outreach, 50 precious souls were won for Christ-and a church was planted. New believers counted it a privilege to worship the Lord in the home of the kind pastor who called them friends. Then five people began to meet with Kawal for special training so they, too, could labor to reach the lost.

Kawal rejoiced. But like any pastor in his situation, he also saw the need for a more suitable building to accommodate his growing flock. That was when the trouble started.

A few days after the believers began constructing their church, local anti-Christian groups strongly vocalized their opposition, even monitoring outside visitors to the site. Despite such setbacks, the Christians slowly continued construction. They rejoiced to see all four walls come up . . . but more harassment came as a mob of 40 people surrounded the building, intimidating the workers and demanding they stop construction.

The believers were encouraged when Christians from other churches came out one night to help them complete the tin roof. But the word spread quickly in the village, and a mob came out the next day to threaten them yet again.

As the leader, Pastor Kawal was specifically singled out. Hearing of the mob’s intent to harm him, many advised him to leave the area. It was an agonizing decision, but for his safety Pastor Kawal traveled to a temporary, undisclosed location.

Please pray for protection for this dedicated pastor and his wife, their four children, and this young Believers Church congregation. Pray that each person will stand strong for Christ and will be aware of the heavenly Father’s comforting presence at all times. And pray for all tension in this area to subside, and that the persecutors will be drawn to the Father through the love lived out by the Christians. Pray that this congregation’s dreams of having its own church building will be fulfilled.

Jesus lifted Babu’s head

November 14, 2005

The unexpected care shown by a man of God jolted Babu’s life.

Babu was an outcast, an “Untouchable.” He would face serious consequences if he didn’t keep away from anyone of a social status other than his own: Babu was a Dalit.

Working as a laborer in a city in north India, Babu was used to being looked down on by those belonging to higher castes. He had to draw water from a different well and go to a different temple. He knew that others would consider themselves defiled if he even touched them.

When he met Pastor Shoji, Babu was surprised that he did not sense disgust and hesitation coming towards him. Pastor Shoji readily and lovingly shared the Gospel.

Babu was touched and intrigued by the love and concern the pastor showed him. It was so far from normal for someone to willingly talk with him. Didn’t the pastor see he was a Dalit? Worthless, untouchable?

Gradually, as Babu listened, he understood that Pastor Shoji’s God saw him differently, and it was the love of Christ that overflowed from Pastor Shoji. Babu’s heart was filled with joy at the thought that Jesus valued him, and he gave his life to Christ.

Within days, Babu’s whole family became Christians as well. Their lives were so abundantly filled with His joy and love that Babu decided to bring the Good News to his own village of Untouchables like himself. In the next two years, 40 of those people found salvation.

As Pastor Shoji, Babu and others like them continue showing the love of Jesus to these oppressed people, God heals broken hearts. That they are valued by the Lord is something they can never forget.

Dalit Husband from Broken Home Follows Christ

July 4, 2007

When a Dalit realizes his worth in Jesus, his entire outlook often changes.

Growing up in Rajasthan, North India, Kushal’s childhood was traumatic. His parents fought frequently. Finally, his father brought another woman home and drove his family away. This turn of events left young Kushal emotionally devastated.
Adding to his troubles, Kushal was one of India’s “Untouchables”— a Dalit, scorned and mistreated by upper-caste society. Despite his underprivileged status, Kushal was able to study in his village school up to the eighth grade and then continue his studies at a hostel designed to help low-caste and tribal children receive an education. But as he was finishing his schooling, he was unexpectedly summoned back home to help arrange his sister’s marriage; as man of the family, this important task fell on Kushal. For two years, Kushal worked hard as a day laborer to provide for his sister’s dowry.
Later, Kushal himself got married to Suchitra, the daughter of a Hindu priest. But just days after his marriage, his wife began to be attacked by evil spirits. Deeply grieved, Kushal appealed to witch doctors, spending his meager earnings on their services. Yet to his great disappointment, nothing seemed to be working.
Meanwhile, Suchitra’s parents took her back to their home so they could perform the traditional rituals of their religion.
During this time, Kushal encountered a missionary who shared the Gospel and encouraged him to trust in Jesus. As the message penetrated deep into Kushal’s weary heart, he began to believe Jesus could heal his wife, and he asked his in-laws to send her back to him.
Growing up in Rajasthan, North India, Kushal’s childhood was traumatic. His parents fought frequently. Finally, his father brought another woman home and drove his family away. This turn of events left young Kushal emotionally devastated. But they refused. Although his wife’s condition seemed to remain the same, Kushal was beginning to know the joy and peace of the Lord’s presence, and he received Jesus as Lord and Savior. Responding to God’s call on his life, Kushal later enrolled in a Gospel for Asia Bible college.
Because Kushal is now a Christian, Suchitra’s family refuses to allow her to ever return to him. But Kushal is grateful to know and serve the One who cherishes him as a Dalit and can always be trusted. And he is eager to see others, including his wife, know this God who has given him hope. GFA leaders are requesting prayer for the reuniting of Kushal and Suchitra, her deliverance from evil spirits, and the salvation of Suchitra and her parents.

Quiet Young Man Becomes Bold Witness

August 1, 2007

Dalit Education
The ability to speak clearly is important to GFA missionaries, as they will be preaching and teaching on the field.

Ravi was a quiet, unassuming young man. Like millions of other young husbands throughout India, he worked hard at his construction job so he could provide for his family. People noticed that Ravi did not talk much. What they didn’t know was that he had a very soft voice that sounded like it had never fully developed. To make matters worse, Ravi also had difficulties when he tried to express himself verbally. But that all changed when he learned about the love of God.
One day, Ravi met a Christian who was excited to tell him about a God who loves him. This believer then gave Ravi a Gospel tract. Ravi was perplexed about the message in the tract and all that the believer had told him about Jesus. He had never heard of a God who was not an idol. That is because Ravi was raised in a village of poor, tribal people who worshipped idols, nature and the spirits of their ancestors. Now he was fascinated by the idea that there was a God who was alive.
The Gospel message touched his heart that day, and he prayed to receive Jesus as his Savior. Soon, he was clamoring to learn more about Jesus and how to serve Him, and he sought the help of a GFA native missionary. This missionary steered Ravi to a GFA Bible college, where he was accepted for studies.
Then, while he was in Bible college, a miraculous transformation occurred in Ravi’s life. His fellow students began to pray for him, and soon they noticed his voice was changing. This man known for his soft-spoken, stunted speech was suddenly speaking loudly and clearly. Ravi and his classmates are thrilled that the grace of God has rested upon him.

Dalit Education
Just like the students pictured, Ravi is studying to be a missionary at one of GFA’s Bible colleges in Asia.

Today, Ravi is looking forward to the time when he can use his new, loud, strong voice to tell people about Jesus on the mission field.
Gujarat state leaders ask that you pray for Ravi, his wife and their two-year-old daughter. Pray that God will protect them and help them grow in the Lord. Also ask for the Lord’s blessings on the family as they solely depend on their crops for their livelihood while Ravi is in Bible college.
